Trap has its place in the modern scene but wants to constantly grow and adapt. This time we are heading over to Area 25 for a brand new TroyBoi remix of Party Favor’s “Wait A Minute“. When you have the chance to work with someone like Party Favor, that is definitely not an opportunity that you turn down. With an impressive resume as a genre-bending artist and producer, Party Favor has seen plenty of glory with his multitude of original tracks such as “MDR” and “Give It To Me Twice”. Party Favor has even accomplished quite a bit as a producer for major artists like Lil Jon and ASAP Ferg, with all of his work earning him an impressive 135 million streams on Spotify. Now this time Party Favor steps aside to make room for TroyBoi to offer his own official spin on the track. This London-born artist is determined to inject a bit of trap into Party Favor’s music.
As music genres continue to adapt and evolve with the ever-changing modern industry, music takes an interesting turn as different artists snag a spot in production. Troy Boi’s approach shows just how drastically trap as a genre can change any track once it’s in its crosshairs. While Party Favor’s original approach was a hybrid collaboration of modern house and electronica, this injection of trap incorporates mechanical synths that add a slight layer of grime and work in the background as the rap takes center stage. There is no doubt in our minds that this remix will be a huge fan favorite, especially with the immense wave that trap is currently riding.
