Surreal Lo-Fi Producer Headphone Activist Drops Full Audible Soundscape Experience “Audio Oasis”
While there are many artists that begin their career in some elegant way, there are many that simply start with a computer and a vision. On our latest visit over to SSKWAN we are checking out Audio Oasis, the latest release from Headphone Activist. His journey began 10 years ago like many in the same position, a bright-eyed lover of music with a laptop, pair of headphones, and the Internet at his fingertips. Originally discovering his love for music in the world of hip-hop and is still a major influence upon his work to this day, he has widened his scope to say the least. Not a stranger to writing all kinds of music, Headphone Activist has released numerous concept EPs to explore avenues as a musician and reach a larger audience. Whether it is music for studying, relaxing, day-to-day travel, or even something a bit experimental, Headphone Activist has something that will catch your eye. Since 2020, Headphone Activist released plenty of one-off singles from the archive to showcase his growth as a musician over the course of his decade-long career.
With the substantial rise of lo-fi and ambient music of the last few years, there are more and more music fans eager to embrace a new soundtrack to our daily lives. With Headphone Activist insanely on fire as a producer right now, we are glad that he was able to find a, even if temporary, home over at Liquid Stranger’s downtempo label SSKWAN. Audio Oasis is the latest addition to the Headphone Activist collection, haven been teased with one new track a week since March 31st. We at Modern Neon have already found ourselves lost in this beautifully innocent ambient world that Headphone Activist created, we might even already have it filling the dead air in our office. Each track throughout the album is a surreal lo-fi/chill-out experience that if you are in any way a fan of ambient music, Headphone Activist should be in your rotation like yesterday.
