Spanish Producing Duo Low Blow Drop Electro House Banger “Losing Control”, Protocol Debut!
As Protocol continues to grow and open their doors to a wider range of artists, audiences and EDM fans will win in the end. On our latest visit over to Protocol we are checking out “Losing Control”, the latest single from producing duo Low Blow. Protocol has been on the front lines of discovering talented artists out of the weeds, each time incorporating that artist’s sound into their overal style. Today’s artist, Low Blow, is an energetic producing duo hailing out of Spain and bringing an almost neo style along with them. Primarily focusing on electro house orgiinals and remixes, Low Blow has been incredibly busy over the last year making their mark in the EDM world. After a year of producing Low Blow caught the eye of TurnItUp Music and that put their music into a global rotation. The duo has gained plenty of recognition through official remixes of DANK & Lorensa‘s “One Life,” Sick Individuals & Justin Prime‘s “Guilty” feat. Nevve and Nicky Romero & Sick Individuals‘ “Only for You.”
While we are 100% on board when it comes to innovating and pushing music genres forward, we still enjoy taking a beat in the past and vibing. Low Blow brings a unique sound to the seasoned progressive house label, combining fundamentals of modern house with an almost nu-disco core. This is evidentally clear within the first second of “Losing Control”, which leads with an electro house beat that makes room for the soul-inspired vocal hook to run wild. Low Blow introduce the correct level of jazz and funk to the mix, infusing it to create a bouncy drop that urges us to get up and move as soon as it reaches our ears. With the recent resurgence of disco-inspired and retro sounds making their way into the mainstream, there is definitely a place for Low Blow to discover and make their home
