SPAG Gives Back to the Fans with “SPAG PACK 001,” a Free Collection of Flips and Bootlegs, Out Now
After more than a decade as Spag Heddy, producer Mischa Reining is entering a new era under the name SPAG. Since 2011, he has built a global reputation through hard-hitting, melodic bass music, major festival appearances, sold-out headline shows, and support from artists including Skrillex, Excision, Subtronics, and NGHTMRE. His career has also included official remixes for The Chainsmokers, Krewella, and SLANDER, alongside tours with names such as Zomboy, Flux Pavilion, Excision, and Zeds Dead.
SPAG sharpens that legacy into something darker, heavier, and more focused. The new identity strips away the colorful, playful imagery of Spag Heddy in favor of gritty production, raw energy, and a stark visual language inspired by punk and skate culture. Rather than abandoning the past, the rebrand reflects nearly fifteen years of evolution, refining Reining’s sound and aesthetic down to their most direct and uncompromising form.

SPAG returns with SPAG PACK 001, a six-track collection of unofficial remixes and bootlegs arriving September 2 as a free download via SoundCloud. Built entirely from tracks Mischa Reining loves, the release reconnects with the remix culture that helped launch his career, turning familiar records into heavier, club-ready versions while giving something directly back to the fans who have supported him over the years.
The pack follows a busy year for Reining after retiring the Spag Heddy name in favor of the darker, more focused SPAG identity. Following “Messiah” and the THIS IS: SPAG EP, SPAG PACK 001 reinforces that evolution while also looking back to his roots, combining fifteen years of experience with the same instinct to experiment, flip records, and make them hit harder.
