Snails Alongside Virtual Riot Revists "WFSU" in Lastest Remix From Upcoming Album
While we still have to wait for the album, we are making another visit over to the Slugz Music imprint to have our weekly teasing session. Fueling our weekend rampage we have “WFSU (Virtual Rot & Snails Remix”, yet another remix from Snails’s upcoming remix album. Snails is clearly a performer that has no limits, as he has been able to garner support from powerhouses such as Diplo and Skrillex for his continuously developing “vomit-step” style. While Snails has been busy trying to find a home for his style, even jumping over to Dim Mak and Monstercat, Snails was quietly launching Slugz with a bang. Why struggle while looking for a home and not create one yourself.
This “WFSU (Remix)” is almost as filthy as the remix album’s first release “Forever (Kill the Noise Remix)”. With his revisit of “WFSU”, Snails and Virtual Riot extremely showcase the bass-heavy “vomit-step” style that Snails is continuing to form and mold. The remix amplifies the serrating synth work that we have come to know from Snails, but that isn’t what catches our attention. Between both Snails and Virtual Riot, they both moved the sci-fi laser sound bites to the foreground, which creates a much different picture than the original. Sometimes it just takes the original artist to re-visit the track to bring out all of its hidden features.
