Singer/Songwriter Kennen Drops New Bubblegum Pop Single ““Timothée Chalamet”
Love is a powerful tool, constantly influencing musicians to pick up the pen/instrument, eager to start creating. Combing our way through the indie world today we have a brand new single and music video for “Timothée Chalamet”, the latest single from musician Kennen. Motivated by the familiar story of unrequited love, Kennen began to craft his first project and make his voice heard. Teaching himself the methods of production at the early age of 12, Kennen just began singing on his own tracks early this year. Embracing his identity as a queer Asian male artist, Kennen’s variation of indie/bubblegum pop speaks to an audience that can embrace Kennen for who he is.
IF you are in desperate need of casual bubblegum pop that will make you smile, Kennen’s latest drop is exactly what you need. Clearly influenced by Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”, this music video features Kennen as he longingly watches his crush as he does household chores. We watch as beat for beat Kennen wins over his crush, eventually performing for him in his garage. Kennen’s voice cuts through the indie production and soothes our ears as we vibe along with his own love story. However, Kennen’s production on “Timothée Chalamet” stands out the most, showcasing a rather complex sound that we didn’t expect. We will definitely be keeping our eyes on Kennen, eagerly waiting to see his career bloom.
