Rising Stars Wavy Trees Release New Surf Rock Single “Growing Up”
Wavy Trees make music that’s fast, fun, and sometimes unexpectedly sweet, perfectly capturing the messy, unpredictable ride of being human. Since forming in 2019, the band has already made a mark, opening for Bikini Trill and winning fans with their energy and honest storytelling.
Frontman Zack explains their latest single, “Growing Up,” like this: “It’s about that moment when you realize you can’t hang out and party every night anymore—you have to step into work, responsibilities, adult life. And along the way, you’re going to crash and burn a lot—school, relationships, work—you name it. But that’s part of growing up.” The song even kicks off with a little iPhone recording from a Sublime concert in Long Beach, capturing fans hyped up and chatting—just a slice of the energy that inspires the band.
Their new single blends surf rock and reggae into a breezy, feel-good anthem about navigating adulthood, and the music video, directed by mrseanbarrett, brings that fun, playful energy to life. With “Growing Up,” Wavy Trees prove they can make you dance, reflect, and maybe even laugh at yourself—all in one song.
