Riot Ten Drops First Multi-Track Drop Of 2020, Join the “Emergence” EP!
Once you embrace the hard bass and trap world, you can’t escape. Starting off coverage for this week we have the Emergence EP from Riot Ten over on Dim Mak Records. A proud Lonestar citizen, Riot Ten brings an interesting EP to the table. Riot Ten is best known for his breakout single “Rail Breaker”, which thrived in Beatport’s Dubstep Top Ten for almost six months, still retaining plenty of buzz and continued streams over two years later. Riot Ten’s “F**K It”, was even performed as an introduction song during performances by The Chainsmokers. Riot Ten first graced us last year with his last Hype or Die project and we are glad that he’s back again with his newest EP!
“I wanted to create something that was different from my previous bodies of work, yet still embodied that “Hype Or Die” aura. I named my EP ‘Emergence,’ due to the chaos in the world now coming to light. It is symbolic of how many have felt for some time now..and so we have risen. I stand in solidarity with those fighting injustice.” – Riot Ten
Every time we step away from the dubstep game, producers like Riot Ten keep dragging us deeper into the waves. His first multi-track release since his latest Hype or Die project last year, Riot Ten runs the gambit of the trap and dubstep worlds throughout the EP. Emergence takes a separate beat for each subgenre, such as tackling hard step elements with Shaq on “Ultimate” or utilizing the best of future bass with Megan Stokes and Whales on the EP’s closing track “Save You”. A gritty and grimy example of the current states of dubstep and bass music, Riot Ten hits hard on every beat and won’t hesitate until you’re a convert. Embrace the chaos, join the Emergence.
