Producing Duo Hello Yes Release 3rd Single “Talk of Town”, Classic Lounge Meets Modern Indie!
While you might be perfectly satisfied collaborating for a much larger artist, it won’t truly fulfill your passion until you hit the ground running on yout own. On our latest visit over to Gravitas we are checking out “Talk of Town”, the latest single from Hello Yes. Consisting of guitarist Mitch Bell and saxophonist Aaron Leibowitz, this talented duo formed during off time while on tour with electronic artist ZHU. Striking a golden balance between modern indie and lounge groove, Hello Yes has been using this latest run of releases to explore the sonic valley within their style lies. Since starting off over four years ago, Hello Yes has been featured or collaborated with the likes of Emotional Oranges, THEY., Jason Mraz, and Tame Impala. The duo’s relentless touring schedule has net them a spot at some of the most prestegious festivals including main stages at EDC, Life is Beautiful, Electric Forest, Lightning a Bottle, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, ACL and many others

We are 100% infatuated with bands who thrive in the “in-between” genres of music, where two drastically different sound meet and fuse in the middle. When you first press play on “Talk of Town”, it becomes evidently clear that you are going to be in for a trip and it is your choice to hang along for the ride or not. Both skilled musicians in their own right, Hello Yes has their mitts in every step of the creative process, as the duo writes, produces, and performs all of their own music When you have a sound that sounds like you wripped out the synths, groovy lounge beats, and guitar work out of an 80s single and plastered into a modern indie house banger, YOU have to make sure it is just right. The track borders on the line of psychadelia, as if we as listeners fell into a wormhole and ended up in a space not designated by time. With “Talk of Town” being the final single of Hello Yes’s debut EP Listen Clearly”, we can’t wait for the full release to drop so we can mentally prepare ourselves for an audio-guided mind trip.
