NOANNE, an emerging artist from Prague, is a captivating enigma who defies conformity through her unique blend of melodious tales and unconventional perspectives. Her art forms a mesmerizing tapestry of sound, drawing listeners into a realm of introspection and self-discovery. Whether on the stages of theater, the reels of film, or within the world of Artificial Intelligence, NOANNE transforms these mediums into sanctuaries where she can freely express herself. Inspired by the artistic motifs of Marc Chagall, her storytelling is painted with vivid hues, exploring emotions from love to enchantment and sorrow. Through her immersive exploration of diverse artistic influences, NOANNE unveils her true essence, leaving no corner of her soul unexplored. In a world that often demands conformity, her art stands as a testament to the beauty of embracing individuality and pushing the boundaries of creative expression.
NOANNE’s new single “Suite 17” is a cinematic collaboration with acclaimed producer, musician, and singer-songwriter Gregory Darling, a four-time Billboard Top 30 artist known for his work with artists including Julian Lennon and Gregg Alexander. Drawing inspiration from Hitchcock-era psychological thrillers, forgotten letters, and the dangerous allure of self-destructive patterns, the track transforms a simple location into a powerful metaphor. The title itself plays on the contrast between “suite” and “sweet,” exploring the fragile space between attraction and destruction, intimacy and obsession.
Built like a lost noir film told through music, “Suite 17” follows the mysterious figure of “Jack,” introduced through the haunting line, “My name is Jack, I live in Suite 17…” Originally inspired by a true story involving a letter arriving after its sender’s death, the song explores the emotional forces that pull people back toward painful memories and familiar cycles. Jack becomes a symbol of temptation, repetition, and the parts of ourselves we struggle to escape. Darling’s verses capture the perspective of someone watching another person disappear into that internal battle, while NOANNE delivers the seductive, haunting presence at the center of the story.
Musically, “Suite 17” blends dramatic orchestration, dark atmospheres, and classic noir influences with a modern emotional edge. Featuring strings performed by the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and recorded at Rome’s historic Forum Studios, the track carries the scale and drama of a cinematic score while exploring themes of identity, emotional dependency, and illusion. Together, NOANNE and Gregory Darling create a gripping duet that feels like a psychological thriller brought to life through sound.
