Hip-Hop Duo Pink Elefants Drop Flirty Yet Playful IndiePop Single “Foolish”
While we are all about extravagant instrumentals and productions, we appreciate more minimalist efforts just as much. On our latest dive into the indie world we are checking out “Foolish”, the latest single from Pink Elefants. A musical project found by lifelong friends Finch and Illeven, Pink Elefants made their official debut back in 2019. Based out of Maryland, our duo has been incredibly busy pumping out a series of consistent releases that have been quickly growing the Pink Elefants identity. The band finds the process of creating music the most rewarding part of the process, with their process evolving and maturing as the Pink Elefants grow in tandem. Beginning last yeast, the duo even host a nightly show on their Facebook page where they perform original mixes and covers. Fun fact, the duo’s name is actually borrowed from the “pink elefants” sequence in Disney’s Dumbo film back in 1941!

While our attention was definitely hooked by their name, their style and beats are keeping us around for the long haul. We are the types of music listeners that have a playlist filled with songs to match our mood, and we plenty of space for Pink Elefants to slide right in. “Foolish” is filled to the brim with funky guitar licks and atmospheric hip hop beats, providing an easy-going and comforting feeling to vibe along with. I mean, the meaning of the song isn’t exactly deep but keeps this flirty yet playful tone fluid throughout. Pink Elefants created “Foolish” as an ode to authenticity during the early stages of developing a relationship and with the help of a creative music video moves their point across.
