Officially making her debut back in 2016, it was clear right out of the gate that GG Magree was going to take over. With remixes of Billie Eilish’s “Wish You Were Gay” and multiple successful originals under her belt, GG Magree has quickly become one of the most sought-after artists today. Having previously debuted on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak with “Nervous Habits” back in 2020, GG is back in the ranks of this awesome label with “Loving You Kills Me”. Instead of taking the electo/bedroom pop sound that we have been looking into the past few weeks, GG took a different approach and incorporated more rock and trap-influenced instrumentals into her mix. The single actually explore concepts surrounding an intense “loving someone even if it hurts” mentality and the more aggressive rock and trap beats fit the bill perfectly. GG uses the track to break out of this “just a pretty voice” mold that some of the community has put her in…giving plenty of evidence that she is anything but just that.
