Forbidden Kingdom Discovery Project Winner OviLoad Releases Heavy-hitting Dubstep Heater, “DON’T WORRY”
Ivo Carrera, known as Oviload, is a Florida-based Dubstep artist who has been passionately honing his craft for nearly three years. A strong supporter of the local EDM scene, he collaborates with various artists to compose and produce innovative music. Oviload’s recent bootleg remix of “Mind Pluck,” co-created with emerging talent CTRL-Q, has received significant acclaim, garnering support from notable figures like Jessica Audiffred, DJ Diesel, Excision, and even Subtronics.

“Whether you’re overwhelmed by the mundane of work or fed up with the stressors accompanied by modern day politics, we’ve all been at a low point where we’re ‘barely feeling human; on the inside, despite our best efforts of trying to hide it on the outside. For me, this is a very cathartic song. When I’m enduring uncertain and miserable times, I’m still ‘hangin’ on’ with hope for better days. Singing out my internal dialogue and feelings through a catchy melody helps me feel human again and puts a lighter spin on what’s happening. I’ve definitely put myself through some dark times but I’m surrounding myself with great people and making notable changes to keep “steering clear of all the roads that I can’t come back from.” = Troy Ritchie
OviLoad is making his debut on Insomniac’s Discovery Project imprint with his new single “DON’T WORRY,” releasing on September 27th. The track is a hard-hitting dubstep production, filled with slamming synths, glitchy, bit-crushed textures, and intense tonal shifts. Its relentless energy is balanced by atmospheric intros and interludes, showcasing OviLoad’s ability to blend aggression with subtlety. Chosen by bass music icon Wooli as the winner of the Discovery Project DJ/producer competition at Forbidden Kingdom, “DON’T WORRY” earned OviLoad a spot on the festival’s lineup and this exciting label release.
