Don Diablo teams up with A$AP Ferg for an official reworking of “Plain Jane,” out now via HEXAGON. Originally created as an unreleased weapon for Diablo’s live sets while touring Saudi Arabia alongside Quavo and Metro Boomin, the track quickly became one of the biggest moments in his performances, prompting him to develop it into an official release. The collaboration preserves Ferg’s unmistakable delivery while rebuilding the hip-hop anthem around Diablo’s high-energy, club-driven production. With the original “Plain Jane” surpassing 800 million Spotify streams and its various versions crossing a billion combined, the new release gives one of Ferg’s signature records a fresh dancefloor-focused life.
The collaboration also continues the hip-hop thread running through Diablo’s forthcoming album, FLUX, following his recent work with Wiz Khalifa and joining releases featuring Bipolar Sunshine and Pink Sweat$. Together, the tracks showcase Diablo’s increasingly genre-fluid approach, connecting his electronic roots with hip-hop, pop, and a growing range of collaborators.
