Bubbling East Coast-Based Producer Atura Lands Debut Single “Hearts of Lions”, Winning Official Nocturnal Wonderland Discovery Project
Eric Peschke, better known as Atura, is an American electronic artist and DJ who brings emotion and energy into everything he creates. Growing up in New Hampshire, music was always a part of his life—whether it was sitting at his grandparents’ piano or diving into production as a teenager. That love of music turned into something bigger when he was named one of YourEDM’s ‘Top 40 Artists to Watch in 2023,’ following the success of his track “From Here” and an official remix of Harry Hayes & Lily Ward’s “Pain Away.” With support from Spotify playlists like “Fresh Finds” and recognition from artists like Porter Robinson and Pluko, Atura quickly found himself gaining traction.
In 2024, he kept the momentum going with his single “Enough,” earning praise from artists like Kartell and Lost Kings. His biggest milestone came when he played Nocturnal Wonderland through the Discovery Project, wowing crowds with a set full of melodic, high-energy moments. Now, with growing support from the electronic music scene and a string of new music on the way, Atura is just getting started.
Atura makes his debut on Insomniac’s Discovery Project label with his latest single, “Heart of Lions,” a nostalgic yet forward-thinking take on classic future bass. Inspired by pioneers like Flume and Rustie, the track merges retro charm with modern production, blending talkbox synth leads, twinkling keyboard arpeggios, and ethereal textures into a colorful soundscape. While it nods heavily to the genre’s early days, Atura’s polished techniques give it a fresh, contemporary edge.
The track earned its spotlight as the winning submission for the Discovery Project DJ/producer competition at Nocturnal Wonderland, with guest judge San Holo selecting it for its originality and artistry. At its core, “Heart of Lions” is a love letter to the early days of future bass, showcasing Atura’s talent for blending heartfelt melodies with cutting-edge sounds, positioning him as an exciting voice in the next wave of electronic music.
