Back From the 1980s, Party Favor & Salvatorre Ganacci Drop New Music Video For “Wasabi”

If we have learned anything about this artist in the past, it is he knows how to make odd music videos. This time we are stopping off at Area 25 for a brand new music video for Party Favor’s “Wasabi”. When you have the chance to work with someone like Party Favor, that is definitely not an opportunity that you turn down. With an impressive resume as a genre-bending artist and producer, Party Favor has seen plenty of glory with his multitude of original tracks such as “MDR” and “Give It To Me Twice”. Party Favor has even accomplished quite a bit as a producer for major artists like Lil Jon and ASAP Ferg, with all of his work earning him an impressive 135 million streams on Spotify.

Do you need some extra spice in your life? If so, you need to develop a taste of “Wasabi”. Originally featured back on Party Favor’s anticipated Layers album released earlier this year, Party Favor wanted to add an extra bit of oddness to entertain audiences. Inspired by iconic work out routines of the 1980s, the music video pairs several unique strangers who join in and follow an exercise to this booty-shaking romp. Starting rather tame, the exercises become more sexual and only attributes to the hilarity we see on screen. While the 1980s work out motif is hilarious, it is a bit of an odd choice for a modern booty-romping bop. However, “Wasabi” is one of our favorite tracks off of Layers and we are glad that it received the music video treatment.
