It has been quite some time that we can relate a track to something as abstract as “technicolor”. On our latest peek into the alternative scene we are checking out “My Place” the latest single from A Story Told. A Story Told originated in Charleston, West Virginia, an unlikely hub for alternative pop music. Their strong ties to the region have significantly influenced their work ethic and success. Despite their unusual location, the band independently produced and wrote every song since their debut album in 2016. Their music, rooted in personal expression, has resonated with a global audience, accumulating 25 million streams. The band’s sound has evolved while maintaining their original mission and ethos. They credit their achievements to their Appalachian origins, which foster a determined attitude. A Story Told has chosen to push their music independently with consistency, perseverance, and authenticity, rather than relying on a conventional path. However this is just our first taste of the world being crafted in Mundane Magic, so we are eager to see just how “My Place” evolves with the rest of the album.
