4B Recruits Newcomer Damian Avila For A Return to the Jungle in Summer Single “Drum”
Now this one is a blast from the past, it’s time for us to revisit our roots. On our latest visit over to MACA we are checking out “Drum”, the latest single from talented producer 4B. Starting his career off at a relatively young age, Robert McKeen Jr. (4B) has already been honing his musical talents for more than half of his life. Now at the age of 29, 4B is in his prime climbing up the musical ladder and thriving within his niche. . 4B‘s most successful track came back in 2016 with Aazar on “Pop Dat”, wracking up over 12 million streams. 4B has already given us a taste of his style with his “Atomic Bomb” back in the day, and we have to say it may be a tad difficult for 4B to top that one.

You know we’ve come to understand the longer we look at music? It is quite a rewarding experience to re-visit an artist that we covered in our early days of music blogging, especially after a few years have passed. When we first kept our eyes on 4B and the rest of his camp, we were deep in our hard bass days and figuring out what exactly enticed us by the genre as a whole. While we eventually solved that problem and pivoted to the more experimental side, we’ve often thought about going back. So when we had the chance to dive into “Drum” and snag an update on what 4B has been up to, we were thrilled. Partnering up with newcomer Damian Avila, “Drum” is a return to 4B’s musical roots as well. With a single that feels like it was ripped straight out of a tribal ritual, “Drum” is an addictive heavy-hitting but minimalist jungle song that is going to easily infect dance floors worldwide this summer.
