“‘Something to Hold On To’ actually started as a remix Aaron did for one of my songs back in 2022 for my first EP. I approached him later down the road for us to make it fully original instead of putting it out as a remix, so we kind of sat on that demo for some time. Later, I Tweeted out asking about which vocalists I should work with, and a few people tagged Sara in the replies, so we all ended up in conversation about working on something. She seemed to feel quite attached to the demo after listening to it and quickly got back with the vocals. We spent time completely revamping the record and getting it up to speed with our more recent production abilities and adding new drops, chord progressions, etc. Really happy with how this turned out!” – STAR SEED
“The original demo for ‘Something To Hold On To’ started out as a remix I made for STAR SEED’s track “Deeper Than Love” with Yultron back in June 2021. Both Noah [STAR SEED] and I played out this version for a while before we decided to turn it into an original. When Sara Benyo hopped on the track, I was incredibly impressed and began getting super excited about this track. Noah and I decided to rebuild the track from scratch so it was up to our current standards, and instantly knew we had something super special with this one. Very proud of how this one turned out and beyond grateful I got to work with Noah and Sara on this one!!” – Aaron Shirk
