Toronto-based artist sunsetto (Kyle Mischiek) has quickly emerged as a notable figure in the alt-pop scene. Growing up on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, he split his time between music and skateboarding, eventually finding his musical path in high school by rapping and making beats. His skills were honed further through songwriting camps led by GRAMMY® and JUNO Award-winning songwriter Gordie Sampson. Sunsetto made his breakthrough in 2020 with the viral success of his debut single “don’t leave,” which garnered hundreds of thousands of streams and attention from tastemakers like EARMILK and Fashionably Early.
Known for his forward-thinking pop sound, sunsetto blends genres like dance, rap, R&B, and modern country, creating a unique sonic palette. His lyrics navigate a wide emotional range, from moments of joy to deep reflection, allowing him to connect with a diverse audience.
