Summertime Collaboration Between MAXIMALS and Nino Lucarelli Creates "My Best"
It is the summertime, which means times for our yearly MAXIMALS check-in. Kicking off this weekend we have “My Best”, the latest jam from MAXIMALS over on Protocol. These Protocol veterans have been quite busy since we last caught up with them last, producing new tracks and even earning praise from Protocol label boss Nicky Romero! MAXIMALS created an impressive performance at Protocol’s 2017 showcase that Romero just had to casually mention that they will be one of the top artists to watch in 2018.
Since we started covering them in our early electronic music blogging days, MAXIMALS has always had a soft place in our heart. They grabbed our attention with their signature style, which focuses on bringing back the nostalgic vibes and grooves of the 70s and 80s back into the mainstream. “My Best” is no different with its light-hearted melody, providing us with a track filled with nostalgia and just the right dose of a summertime romance. MAXIMALS don’t deserve all of the credit, however, as the smooth and velvety vocal work from Nino Lucarelli is just the cherry on top.
