Social Media Star Charly Jordan Debuts In Music World With “Blackstrap Molasses”
Moments like this remind us just how talented Gen-Zs are in this digital age. This time around we are checking out the debut single “Blackstrap Molasses”, from social media savant Charly Jordan. Originally hailing from Las Vegas, Charly Jordan found plenty of success as an athlete in the world of soccer and track. After playing soccer competitively for over 12 years and track for 4, Jordan migrated over to modeling and her love for music. As a model she represented the Pura Vida brand, amassing an impressive social media following. Now finally debuting and making her music and DJing love official, Charly Jordan just shows that there is no limit to having talent.
When we first heard about Charly Jordan taking on the music, we had to be skeptical. We’ve seen social media influencers step into the music world before and make a meager single or two. Yet, “Blackstrap Molasses” is a bit of a sleeper hit for us. Charly Jordan‘s sultry vocal performance drives the track forward, crafting a tone that is perfect for deep club music. With significantly strong basslines driving the beat forward, each element fits into this ambiance of a moody house track that will easily fit right in with the major Vegas night club scene. Charly Jordan actually snagged a chance to perform “Blackstrap Molasses” during her debut show at Hakkasan, in support of Nicky Romero. However, the performance has been postponed until further notice due to spread of COVID-19. We hope that Charly Jordan decides to drop a full album because we could easily put it in our rotation.
