Singer, Songwriter, Producer? Mikoh Drops New Dark Pop Self-Produced Single “La La Land”
When you have such a unique sound with a wide variety of influences, you have to flaunt it. Taking another deep dive into the indie space we are checking out “La La Land”, a brand new single from the upcoming singer Mikoh. Mikoh. A relative newcomer to the indie music scene, Mikoh brings an odd yet satisfying sound to the modern radio waves. Deriving various elements from the likes of Linkin Park, Grimes, and The Weeknd, Mikoh blends all three styles into a nostalgic and alluring overall sound. Mikoh first popped up on our radar last month with a few of her first singles “Afterglow” and her “Strange Lullabies” project, we are excited to see what she brought with her this time.
While we thought we had Mikoh penned after “Afterglow”, just a few drops later and she already surprises us. Embracing her unique blend of influences from the likes of Grimes, Linkin Park, and The Weeknd, Mikoh fully immerses herself in the deep pool of dark pop to uncover the secrets of the genre. Created in collaboration with Anthony Jordan of The Orange Lounge, Mikoh doesn’t hide that fact that her skillset keeps growing with every new single. “La La Land” was crafted to make her voice her, to shine a spotlight on the more superficial side of social media and how it affects us whether we are aware of it or not. Regardless if we are fans of social media or not, it has become an integral part of our day to day lives. If she hasn’t won you over just yet, make sure you put Mikoh in your rotation.
