Remember Summer Completely Transforms Blink-182’s “All The Small Things” Into A Beautifully Fragile Track
Remember Summer is a dream pop duo formed by Northern Irish musician Paddy Conn of Swimming Tapes and English vocalist Angelina Dove. Their music is steeped in nostalgia, blending dusty synths and poetic lyrics to evoke the wistfulness of long-lost summer nights and the melancholic beauty of seasonal transitions. Their sound captures the feeling of a desert road trip at twilight, where time seems to slow and every moment is imbued with a sense of magic.
The duo’s collaboration began in the summer of 2016 when they met working at a café in Forest Gate. What started as a casual creative outlet quickly grew into something more meaningful, especially after the café closed the following year. Living close to each other, they continued making music together, leading to the formation of Remember Summer—a project that channels their shared love for nostalgic, evocative soundscapes.
Remember Summer is entering a new chapter of their musical journey, revealing fresh interpretations of well-known songs. Following their ethereal cover of Miley Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball,” the duo has now reimagined blink-182’s “All The Small Things.” In this version, the high-energy pop-punk classic is transformed into a slow, hauntingly atmospheric track, with Angelina Dove’s delicate vocals floating over melancholy instrumentation.
Angelina shares that the inspiration for this reinterpretation came from reading the song’s lyrics out of context, which struck her as haunting and evocative. Particularly, the line “roses left by the stairs” reminded her of a lonely period in her life where flowers symbolized grief rather than romance. This emotional connection led her and Paddy Conn to create a completely new and introspective version of the track, showcasing their ability to infuse familiar songs with their signature dreamy and melancholic style.
