Nashville-based Singer/Songwriter Qwynn Releases Debut EP ‘Never or Now’
Qwynn’s debut EP, Never or Now, is a striking introduction to an artist coming into her own, blending confessional songwriting with immersive indie-pop soundscapes. Across five meticulously crafted tracks, she weaves together raw emotions, personal growth, and the bittersweet beauty of change. Written and recorded in both Nashville and Los Angeles, the EP serves as a sonic diary of the past two years—capturing the exhilaration, uncertainty, and deep introspection that defined this period of transition in her life.
Collaboration is at the heart of Never or Now, with Qwynn teaming up with some of her longtime musical inspirations. In Los Angeles, she worked with Sam Price of Lovelytheband on the project’s lead single, “Blame Yourself”, a track that layers shimmering guitar lines with emotionally charged lyricism, perfectly embodying the push-and-pull of self-doubt and accountability. Meanwhile, in Nashville, she found creative synergy with Adam Roth of Grizfolk, recording two standout tracks—“Fear of Falling” and the title track “Never or Now”—both of which highlight her ability to marry introspective storytelling with atmospheric indie-pop production.
Thematically, the EP reflects the upheaval and reinvention that has shaped Qwynn’s early years. Having already started over twice—first in LA, then in Nashville—before turning 21, she channels those experiences into music that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. There’s a restless energy in her lyrics, a sense of urgency to seize the moment and embrace uncertainty rather than fear it. Sonically, her music fits seamlessly alongside artists like Gracie Abrams, Holly Humberstone, and Maggie Rogers, drawing from their introspective yet anthemic sensibilities while maintaining a distinct identity that is entirely her own.
