International Rock Project ZOCO Drops New Single “Restess” From Upcoming Debut 2026 EP
ZOCO, the international rock project led by multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Marco Zocco, makes its debut today with the release of “Restless” via Z3 Records. Produced by Gunnar Nelson (of Nelson) and executive-produced by Kerry Brown (Smashing Pumpkins), the track features Zocco on vocals, guitar, piano, synth, and percussion, alongside rock veterans Carmine Rojas (David Bowie, Rod Stewart) on bass, Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats) on brush drums, and London Hudson (Return to Dust, Suspect208) on drums. Co-written with his brothers Paolo and Matteo—who contribute to the iconic “whoa” chorus—and with lyrical input from longtime friend and American swimmer Jack LeVant, the song blends personal storytelling with a dynamic, guitar-driven rock sound.
“Restless” captures the energy of moving on and starting anew, highlighting Zocco’s signature baritone vocals and versatile musicianship. The release also serves as a preview of ZOCO’s upcoming debut EP, LUMANISTA (Part 1), set for January 2026, signaling the arrival of a project that merges familial collaboration, expert musicianship, and emotional resonance into a fresh, contemporary rock voice.
“Restless is about breaking free from routines and celebrating spontaneity. Whether for an hour, or for a day, in a career, or in a relationship, it’s about reimagining daily experiences to live life to the fullest. It’s a call to press pause on our emotional and physical autopilot, and make space for freedom and adventure.” – Marco Zoco
ZOCO, the international rock project led by Geneva-born multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Marco Zocco, brings together a globe-spanning team of collaborators to create its distinctive sound. Recorded between Los Angeles’ Licorice Pizza Records and Milan’s Massive Arts Studios, with vocal production in Nashville, the project features Marco performing guitar, piano, bass, drums, vocals, and lyrics alongside his brothers Paolo and Matteo and a rotating cast of U.S. rock talent. Key contributors include Gunnar Nelson, Carmine Rojas, Slim Jim Phantom, London Hudson, and JJ Wallace, whose drum solo features prominently on “Green (Interlude).” The music was mixed by Stephen DeAcutis and mastered by legendary engineer Howie Weinberg, with production support from Nelson, Kerry Brown, and Marco’s uncle and mentor Louis DiMenna.
ZOCO’s upcoming debut EP, LUMANISTA (Part 1), set for early 2026, highlights a bold, genre-blending sound that fuses alternative rock and pop with touches of metal, electronica, and blues, layered with piano, synths, and cinematic arrangements. The project emphasizes both technical precision and emotional resonance, with contributions from rock luminaries such as Theron “Neff-U” Feemster, Guy Erez, Jennie Vee, and Marlhy Murphy. Each official music video from the EP serves as a cinematic tribute to the world’s most beautiful cities, with the video for “Restless” set in Marco’s hometown of Geneva, further underscoring the international and heartfelt vision of ZOCO.
