Indie Pop Maestro Ladyhawke Releases Highly-Anticipated Album “Time Flies” + Custom Game?!
If you can write a catchy pop hook, you’ll have a grand time earworming listeners with your music. On our latest peek into the pop world we are checking out “My Love” and Time Flies, the latest drops from Ladyhawke. Originally starting out playing as a member of Wellington band Two Lane Blacktop, and Sydney act Teenager, musician Pip Brown created Ladyhawke all the way back in 2008. She was quickly signed to a record label and her official debut gave her global attention across UK, Australia, and New Zealand. With all of this attention, Ladyhawke spent quite a bit of time touring as well as netting multiple NZ Music Awards, ARIAs, and nominations for Brit Awards, MTV Awards, and NME Awards. With almost 15 years as Ladyhawke, Pip has an incredibly lengthy resume that is simply too long and deserves its own deep dive all by itself.

After multiple weeks of teasing and being slightly lost in our inbox, we are thrilled to finally be able to check out Ladyhawke’s latest album Time Flies in full! The album has already received almost universal praise from The New York Times, SiriusXM, Under The Radar, GLAAD, BrooklynVegan, BlackBook, AfterEllen, World Of Wonder and more. Utilizing Ladyhawke’s talent for writing catching hooks, “My Love” is a pure Ladyhawke soaked with ’80s flair. The track is a superb example of the rest of Time Flies, which uses a light upbeat guitar to take the lead and set the stage for the album’s more sensitive themes. Through Time Flies Ladyhawke has important discussions about motherhood, mental health, postnatal depression & recovering from a serious skin cancer condition. While the subject matter may be intimate, the tone and beats are simply too infectious to keep us from being positive.
