Trance Wax is the trance-driven alias of Belfast producer Garry McCartney, also known for his work in the house and techno scene as Ejeca. With Trance Wax, McCartney pays homage to the golden era of trance while injecting a fresh, modern energy into the genre—earning acclaim for his ability to blend nostalgic melodies with contemporary production. His reimagined take on trance has resonated strongly within both underground and mainstream circles, establishing him as a key figure in the genre’s revival.
After making waves in the studio, Trance Wax has recently made a mark on the global stage. He made his U.S. debut with a closing set at Dreamstate San Francisco, followed by a standout performance at EDC Las Vegas on the quantumVALLEY stage. Up next, he’s set to close out the Nothing But Trouble party at Eden Ibiza, continuing a breakout year of high-profile appearances and electrifying sets that showcase his unique sonic vision.
Trance Wax returns to Dreamstate Records with “Neva Let You Go,” the final single ahead of his forthcoming Hold On 2 U EP. The track encapsulates his forward-thinking approach to trance—melding nostalgic rave influences with modern production techniques. It opens with a haunting, pitched-up vocal loop layered over analog arpeggios, euphoric melodies, and pulsing basslines, creating a powerful sense of emotional uplift and cosmic momentum.
