Avery Lynch Releases New EP ‘Glad We Met’ & Announces West Coast Tour
Avery Lynch, originally from Pennsylvania and now based in Los Angeles, began her musical journey at age 7, composing piano pieces that eventually led her to songwriting. Her sound is defined by lush, melancholic piano arrangements paired with soft, evocative vocals, creating deeply emotional songs that feel like personal confessions. Avery starts each track with intimate demos at the piano, refining them with trusted collaborators to capture raw, heartfelt moments. Often described as a “happy girl filled with sad songs,” her music draws from her life experiences, relationships, and the media she consumes, offering poignant and relatable stories.
Her rising popularity is evident in praise from tastemakers like Ones To Watch and EARMILK, and a rapidly growing fanbase. Songs like Rain and the boys who don’t know what they want have become fan favorites, and her latest single think about it sets the stage for what promises to be a milestone year. With a unique voice and a talent for capturing emotion, Avery continues to carve out her space as a standout figure in the indie-pop and singer-songwriter scenes.
The ‘Glad We Met’ EP is my favorite project I’ve ever made. Each song follows the beginning of the love story I’ve been living for over five years now. Some songs are about heartbreak and moving on, and others are about falling in love again. It all comes together with the title track ‘I’m Glad We Met,’ which tells the story of meeting my significant other, where we’ve gone, and where we are now.”
Rising singer-songwriter Avery Lynch shares her most personal project yet with the release of her new EP Glad We Met, out now via RECORDS/Sony Music. The nine-track collection weaves together fan-favorite singles like “Rain,” “the boys who don’t know what they want,” and “Sweetheart” with fresh material that expands her emotional palette. Anchored by lush, piano-driven arrangements and Avery’s tender, expressive vocals, the EP traces her journey through heartbreak, self-discovery, and the quiet courage it takes to embrace love again.
More than just a snapshot of personal growth, Glad We Met also marks a creative breakthrough for Avery as the first project she has co-produced. That hands-on approach deepens the sense of intimacy and ownership in her sound, allowing her storytelling to resonate with even more authenticity. The result is a body of work that not only reflects Avery’s evolution as an artist but also positions her as a rising voice whose vulnerability and honesty strike a chord with listeners everywhere.
