Alternative Rock Band Shuffalo Teases Sophomore Effort in New Single “Whispers”
While they haven’t been making music together very long, these musicians sure have made quite a splash on their initial dive. While combing through our inbox this week we stumbled across “Whispers”, the latest single from alt-rock band Shuffalo. Forming back in 2018, theses alt-rockers have accomplished quite a bit and snagged a few accolades in their still fresh career. In just two years, Shuffalo has supported major acts such as Shred Kelly, Lucy Rose (UK), Dave Monks (Tokyo Police Club) and Said The Whale. Determined not to slack on their own catalog, the band released their award-winning Heart Attack EP, and received critical acclaim for their official debut. Shuffalo has been busy recording their sophomore release with producers Matt Di Pomponio and Juno award-winner Ryan Worsley, dropping their first single “Stay On Me” earlier this summer.
If there is anything that Shuffalo has learned in their short time in the indie music scene, it is that key element to capture the audience’s increasingly-short attention span. While their sound may exist in a similar vein to that of The Killers, Shuffalo swings us over to their side of the pendulum with their lyrical prowess. Core songwriter and lead vocalist Brayden Bell express his skill within each track, luring our attention with each word. At the same time, Shuffalo injects their blues almost swing-esque style of alternative rock to enhance the track, making them stand out in an over-saturated genre. If you need a brand new alt-rock fix to help ease this wretched 2020, Shuffalo and “Whispers” is ready and able.
