Seven Lions, SLANDER, & Dabin Team Up For "First Time" Ft. Dylan Matthew
It’s been almost a month since we have seen our favorite duo, so we think it’s about time we check in. This time we are checking out “First Time”, the latest from Seven Lions, SLANDER, and Dabin over on Ophelia Records. SLANDER has been very busy since bursting onto the scene in 2014 (with their ever-popular Showtek remix), but throughout 2018 and ’19 we are expected to see numerous original productions and a further grounding of their “heaven trap” style. With multiple original releases under their belt in the last few months, there is no way we can stop the SLANDER now, especially since they have extra ammunition in their corner.
Seven Lions is still coming off of the high that is his latest EP Start Again, which is one of his most emotional works yet. Seven Lions has developed a style focuses on high energetic melodies, which he definitely brings to the table. If we have to sum up our feelings for “First Time” in one thought, we would say that it filled with raw emotion. The track is a fantastic morphing of both SLANDER’s and Seven Lions’s rather distinct styles, and the result has us hooked. “First Time” features plenty of SLANDER’s heavy bass work while at the same time mashed together with Seven Lions’s melody that oozes pure euphoria. The track has been highly anticipated by fans of all artists involved in the project, and we go as far as to say that the wait definitely paid off.
