“Seeing all the love coming out of Korea really reignited my passion for the high energy feeling that K-pop brings. I went back and revisited a lot of the songs I used to love and discovered some newer artists along the way like Karencici, JUNNY, and Gemini. Even though it felt like a long shot, I knew I had to find a way to bring them all together on one record.“
Montreal R&B artist Myles Lloyd returns with “DMC,” a K-pop reimagining of his breakout single “Drive Me Crazy,” featuring Gemini, Karencici, and JUNNY. The original track surged unexpectedly in South Korea, earning over 26 million streams, landing on the country’s Top 200 chart, and receiving a co-sign from ENHYPEN. Inspired by its international momentum, Lloyd rebuilt the song with multilingual verses and sleek pop production, transforming it into a cross-cultural collaboration that blends Korean R&B polish with his signature emotional vulnerability. The release coincides with Lloyd joining JUNNY on his Canadian tour dates, which kicked off this week in Montreal.
