Equanimous Releases Debut Album “Merging Elements”, A Blissful Audible Journey
Many artists fall into a major trap as they progress through their careers, only focusing on themselves as they grow and prosper. Those few artists learn that lesson early on and embrace the big picture as they continue on their journey. On a most recent visit to Gravitas Music we have the brand new debut album Merging Elements by the interesting artist Equanimous. While Equanimous hasn’t been on the scene for relatively long, he has accomplished quite a bit in his mission to bring deep house from the dance floor directly to your ears. In their short time they have already collaborated with the likes of The Polish Ambassador, DJ Taz Rashid, Momentology, and Activation to name a few. While 2020 has been a mess for live touring, Equanimous has made electric live performances at Northern Nights, Earth Frequency Festival, Same Same But Different Festival, and many others. Equanimous even curated and coordinated the Global Unity Festival which featured over 170 different acts!
As a listener, we can easily be lost in the world of bliss or underneath the star-covered electric sky. Equanimous’s debut album Merging Elements is his soundtrack offering to those who are willing to be lost on their own blissfully surreal adventure. Equanimous collaborates with eleven artists over the album’s nine tracks, each weaving their own sound into Equanimous’s audible journey. Highlighting Equanimous’s skills as a producer, each track throughout the album focuses on eccentric rhythms and dreamlike melodies, all while exploring the atmosphere where they inhabit. Whether he snags you with “Air Bender”‘s dreamy cinematic sounds, the euphoric deep house of “Dreamality”, or the soothing bells and oscillation of “Saviour”, you can join in on this audible journey at any time and experience it for yourself.
