Dosing Up in 2019 With Valentino Khan + Kayzo’s "Novocaine"
We know we have been a bit mellow since the start of 2019, but that ends NOW. This week we are checking out “Novocaine”, a new dose of madness from American producer Valentino Khan over on Mad Decent. Bursting onto the scene in 2014, Khan received almost immediate success with his first “In Khan We Trust” EP after being released on Skrillex’s OWSLA label. Khan quickly entranced listeners with his blend of hardstyle, trap, and heavy house that even led to his original track “Deep Down Low” being one of the most played track in 2015. While four years have passed, Khan has easily honed his skills as a remix master and we can’t see what he does next…oh wait.
Khan’s latest track “Novocaine” is definitely not for listeners who like to just sway along with cool vibes, as this track is injected with plenty of adrenaline. Right out of the gate “Novocaine” kickstarts the beat with plenty of hardstyle-driven percussions, yet that is definitely just the beginning. Khan quickly ushers in his distorted synth work and heavy bass, giving us serious drum & bass and modern bass music vibes. The release of “Novocaine” was a bit of a surprise, as Khan just announced his biggest show at the Hollywood Palladium on March 9th.
