Blasting into 2019 With "Twerk Tunes", Party Favor Drops "2012"
As we kick everything back into gear after our holiday break, this track will definitely set the mood for 2019. This time we are bouncing on over to Mad Decent for “2012”, the latest from Party Favor. When you have the chance to work with someone like Party Favor, that is definitely not an opportunity that you turn down. With an impressive resume as a genre-bending artist and producer, Party Favor has seen plenty of glory with his multitude of original tracks such as “MDR” and “Give It To Me Twice”. Party Favor has even accomplished quite a bit as a producer for major artists like Lil Jon and ASAP Ferg, with all of his work earning him an impressive 135 million streams on Spotify.
A mild homage to the world’s greatest year in modern electronic music, “2012” serves as an example of how far trap music has come since its infancy. “2012” has become an essential “twerk tune” (I can’t believe I just said that) that proves that we can drop it just as hard as it did in only 7 years ago. While Party Favor tries to craft the closest homage with a dose of modern flair, he doesn’t forget about his roots. While “2012” ended up as a mid-tempo yet bouncy track, a heavy amount of hip-hop beats are added into the mix. Blended modern styles with less-modern beats, quite the interesting approach.
