Gwyn Love drops ‘ur gf kisses me’ Music Video, Exploring Vengeful Fantasies & Toxic Relationships
The further we follow Gwyn Love down their path as an artist, the more we are intrigued. On our latest peek into the indie world we are checking out a brand new music video for “ur gf kisses me”, the latest single from Gwyn Love. Gwyn Love began honing their talents early on with first picking up a cello at age 5. By age 11, Gwyn Love had already written their first song and was quickly on their way to discovering their own path down the music avenue. In the decade since, Love has tweaked their sound to become uniquely theirs, a blend of pop-electronica that we wouldn’t expect to find in small-town Oklahoma. Gwyn found a solid amount of success after the release of their debut EP At First Blush, with the EP’s lead single being picked up by popular playlists including Spotify’s “It’s A Bop”, Apple Music’s “New Music Daily” and Amazon’s “Fresh Pop” and “Brand New Music”
“I made the video for gf kisses me with Max Hite and some of my closest friends! it was such a fun experience. I wanted the song to sound sort of dreamy because it was this fantasyland where I actually stood up to my friend’s terrible boyfriend and told him off, when in real life I was way too terrified of the repercussions to do that. I love how we achieved that visually with this video!” – Gwyn Love
With their latest single “ur gf kisses me,” the rising artist Gwyn Love continues to captivate listeners with their unique blend of genres and infectious beats. Renowned for their ability to seamlessly fuse different musical styles, Gwyn Love takes a departure from their usual danceable sound and ventures into the realm of bedroom pop in this enchanting new track. The official music video for “ur gf kisses me” serves as a visual representation of the dichotomy between Gwyn Love’s fantasy dream and the stark reality of their friend’s toxic situation. Through stunning cinematography and evocative storytelling, the video explores the emotional journey of the protagonist, reflecting their desires, regrets, and conflicting emotions. The dream sequences portray Gwyn Love’s character standing up to the toxic partner, expressing their frustration and reclaiming their friend’s well-being, while the contrasting reality scenes depict the unfolding of the actual toxic relationship.
