Sirius XM Announces Virtual DisDance Festival Featuring Literally Every Powerhouse DJ

While everyone is still relatively in quarantine and practicing social distancing, the concert experience has basically passed and in need of resuscitation. While singers, songwriters, and producers have been hosting their own live streams from the comfort of their own homes, we haven’t had an actual festival in what feels like a lifetime.

Welp, all of that is about to change. Just a few days ago, SiriusXM stepped in with a solution to the problem…a virtual festival featuring the best of the best, all while still keeping social distancing in check. The Virtual DisDance Festival kicks off next weekend on May 22nd, and will be a fully virtual three-day festival hosted by The Chainsmokers. You will be able to catch up and watch on Sirius’s BPM channel.

“We’re thrilled to be providing a top-notch line up of some of the biggest names in Dance music in our first-ever Virtual DisDance Festival. The virtual event will bring the festival experience to life and entertain Dance music fans nationwide with original performances and appearances they won’t want to miss. Our listeners can continue to count on SiriusXM to keep them close to their favorite artists and to deliver great exclusive, original, and entertaining content. Our Virtual DisDance Festival is no exception.” – Scott Greenstein (President & Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM)

Featuring new live DJ sets from the biggest DJs and producers in the world, the Virtual DisDance Festival will be one for the record books to say the least. Headlining performers will include Afrojack, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Kygo, Calvin Harris (as Love Regenerator), Major Lazer, Marshmello, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, and Tiësto just to name a few. The festival will also broadcast new dj sets from the likes of Above & Beyond, Gryffin, Krewella, Nicky Romero, and many more. The standout will also be a replay of a SiriusXM exclusive performance from 2011, helmed by the late Avicii.

All proceeds generated by the Virtual DisDance Festival will be donated to the MusicCares Covid-19 Relief Fund, benefiting music creators and industry professionals hindered by the Coronavirus pandemic.
