Nicky Romero & Deniz Koyu Drop Addictive “Destiny”, Taking Us Back to Early 2010s Vocal House

On our latest visit to Protocol, we were able to have a sneak peek of “Destiny” a brand new single from Nicky Romero and Deniz Koyu. Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, but he is also constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. Romero continues to surprise us, even dropping a mini-doc series back in 2019 and multiple successful releases now that he’s back on the wagon. Hell, he even put on one hell of a performance at the London opening of the Call of Duty League eSports tournament!

If we can say anything about “Destiny”, it is that the track is a return to form for both Romero and Koyu, letting each produce embrace their roots. A shining example of the early 2010s EDM vocal house boom, “Destiny” opens slowly with soft instrumentals and lulls the listener into a state of bliss. The track sets the stage for Swedish singer Alexander Tidebrink to enrapture us with his vocal performance, as soft as a guiding hand to grab a hold onto for this journey. The track exudes beauty within its uplifting melody and exciting drop, making the track even more danceable than we previously thought. When we finally have the time to return back to the world of festivals, we can’t wait to experience “Destiny” live.
