Disco With That Modern Twist, Canadian Duo Fabrikate Release New Single “By My Side”

Sometimes we have those difficult weekends where we just need to power through it, but need just that right beat to keep pushing. Today we have just that track you’re looking for with a few buddies from up North known as Fabrikate, who brings us their latest release “By My Side”. By no means a household name, Fabrikate exploded on the scene after garnering success from Shazam for the remix of The Weeknd’s “The Hills”, Fabrikate is continuing on their trail of success with the release of the last album “Bodies”, which gained millions of streams and even support from major powerhouse Diplo. Clearly this duo is doing something right.

What makes Fabrikate stand out, especially on “By My Side”, is their unusual style that feels more retro than anything. Inspired heavily by the popular aspects of disco and classic R&B, “By My Side” is just another example that Disco can easily be adaptable in this new age of music. Disco with a modern twist sounds just about right. Fun fact, “By My Side” was actually on created in one day by the duo, as they were messing around with synths during the middle of a snowstorm. The best origin stories are definitely the weirder ones.

Make sure you give “By My Side” a full listen here:
